Breast Lift with Implants
in Orlando, FL
A breast augmentation and a combined mastopexy (breast lift) help women to achieve the fuller, perkier, rounder and more youthful breasts that they desire. Kendall Peters MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who regularly advises female patients who desire breast enhancement plastic surgery to include a breast lift, and when it is combined with an augmentation surgery, the nipples are repositioned, rather than facing downward. The Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is located in Orlando, Florida and serves women who reside in or around Orange County in Central Florida.
Dr. Peters completes breast augmentation and mastopexy plastic surgery simultaneously, as he positions the patient's nipples in a better-centralized location. This strategic positioning allows the breasts to appear youthful and upright. Breast implants will increase the breast's volume in the upper pole region of the breast. The augmentation and mastopexy are combined when the mastopexy may not produce the patient's aesthetic goals when completed solo.
What is Breast Lift with Implants?
Breast lift with implants refers to a procedure which combines the breast lift with a breast augmentation. This enhances the size, shape, and contour of the breasts while lifting any loose and sagging tissue. Implants are an asset, and they increase the breast's volume and lift the breasts. Implants also keep a woman's breasts firm and shapely for years to come.
Why Breast Lift with Implants?
Breast tissue loses elasticity and changes over time, which may cause the breasts to appear uneven, deflated or sagging. These changes are usually the natural result of life events and other factors including:
- Aging
- Gravity
- Heredity
- Increases or decreases in weight
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
Breast lift surgery combined with augmentation is a restorative surgical procedure that rejuvenates and produces voluptuous, youthful breast tissue. Shapely, firm and upright breasts are experienced by women who have this surgical procedure completed.
Benefits of Breast Lift with Implants
The benefits of the breast lift with augmentation procedure include:
- Restoration of youthful, larger breasts
- Correction of breast issues caused in the natural process of aging
- Improvements to the appearance and symmetry of the breasts
- There are decreased effects of gravity on breasts that contain implants, and as a result, the need for future surgical treatments is often eliminated.

Candidates for Breast Lift with Implants
Good candidates for a breast lift with augmentation are women who are experiencing good physical and mental health. Women with fully developed breast tissue are also good candidates; exceptions may be permitted for younger patients, for women with special circumstances or for women seeking breast reconstruction. Breast lift with augmentation produces lift and increased volume and size. Ideal candidates are:
- Post-pregnancy and post-breastfeeding women who are experiencing sagging, stretched tissue.
- Women experiencing size and shape alterations due to fluctuations in weight.
- Women with naturally pendulous breasts who desire added volume and lift.
Breast lift with augmentation is a personal decision that is made by each woman based on different personal factors. Dr. Peters assists female patients in determining if breast lift with augmentation is the best plastic surgical procedure for them.
How The Breast Lift with Implants Procedure Is Performed
Breast lift with implants is an outpatient, general anesthesia procedure that is completed in our outpatient surgery center in approximately three to four hours. The procedure includes an incision in each breast that is used to remove excess skin that previously caused the breasts to sag. One of three general lift techniques may be used during the plastic surgical procedure, including a circular, doughnut mastopexy, lollipop mastopexy or the standard mastopexy. Implants are then inserted beneath the mammary gland or the pectoral muscle. Dr. Peters thoroughly reviews each patient's procedure before surgery day and answers each of their questions and addresses any concerns
Breast Lift with Implants Recovery
After breast lift with augmentation surgery is completed, you may experience tenderness, swelling or bruising. Drain tubes that are used during the surgery are commonly removed in the office four days after your procedure. We recommend that patients take one week off from work post-surgery and that they avoid all heavy lifting and strenuous activities. Massaging exercises will be completed during the post-surgery routine for approximately one week, and any vigorous exercise should not be resumed for four to six weeks. Women are commonly concerned about potential scarring, but scars that appear dark initially, fade over time and are often unnoticeable.
